About acupuncture

Acupuncture comes from traditional Chinese medicine. A licensed acupuncturist inserts very fine, sterile needles at specific points on the body. Many also use acupressure, cupping, moxibustion or herbal formulas.

First visits often run 60 to 90 minutes and include questions about your health, sleep and digestion. Needles are thin and most people feel little more than a light tap; you then rest for 20 to 40 minutes.
