Outershed is a Williamsburg wellness studio on a mission to make the benefits of infrared saunas and contrast therapy more accessible through convenience and affordability. Instead of a crowded communal sauna, it's built around the individual experience: five private infrared sauna suites and two private contrast therapy suites pairing infrared with a cold plunge — a dedicated space to reset and recover on your own terms. 'A place to shed your outer layers and find your deepest self.' The studio also has a lounge, a curated wellness retail shelf, a shower room, and an expansive outdoor space for pop-ups and events. Founder Abigail Higgins created Outershed after too many unsatisfying infrared sauna experiences in New York; before launching it she spent over four years in consumer and retail investment banking at Bank of America, working with wellness-focused companies. Open seven days: Monday–Friday 7 AM–8 PM and Saturday–Sunday 8 AM–6 PM.
