Japanese-style mountain onsen spa above Santa Fe since 1981
Opened in 1981 by owner Duke Klauck with one massage room and two hot tubs, Ten Thousand Waves is a Japanese-inspired mountain spa in what he calls a 'Japanese adobe' style. It now has communal and private baths with saunas and cold plunges, 19 treatment rooms known for shiatsu massage by rigorously trained therapists, a small hotel and the Izanami restaurant. Santa Fe readers regularly vote it the city's best spa and massage.
